Hairpins
Lila's grandpa dislikes it when she has bows in her hair (go figure) so I decided to make some new hairpins. She's wearing one in the Wagner Park post below.
The ribbon is from Michael's and the alligator pins are from Just Beauty. I used plain non-toxic craft glue for the adhesive.
I glued on a small piece of felt on the inside to give it a non-slip texture.
Finished pins

Wow, it came out really nice. Thanks for the great tip. I will definitely try it out.
My Little Cutie Pie has the same toy, and she loves to chew on it too.
very cute!
Crafty! Too bad I can't use them in Jonah's hair. His dad would flip. Hahah.
these are so cute! love them.
love your new profile pic, btw.
as a mom of two girls, i so appreciate this post! i'm always losing hair pins and having to buy new ones. thank you!

@LAMAY123 - thanks! do you have any of the other toys from this company? i wonder if the giraffe will be as exciting. there's something about this pink one that makes lila crack up whenever she sees it.
the hairpins are soooo cute!! esp. in lila's hair. you're so creative. you should sell these!!
thanks for the tutorial~~! i e-mailed it to myself so one day (hopefully not too far in the future) i can make these for my friends with baby girls!! oh~ this would be such a great idea for favors for little girls at parties! if i can get my act together i want to make them for evan's dol~~! my problem is though that they probably won't look even half as good as yours so maybe people wouldn't like them...eek!
